Happy New Year!

Yesterday Jacksonbelle Embellishments posted 4 New Years Eve challenges on their blog. I have two to share with you today and I am hoping to get the other two done tonight to share with you tomorrow. The second challenge was to use black and white with some glitter or shiny accents. Here is what I came up with:

The sparkler stamp is from Amuse Artstamps and I used Pink Paislee's Pixee Stix sugar plum glitter to make it really shine. The sentiment stamp is from Verve and I used Me & My Big Ideas rhinestones to help it stand out.

Challenge #3 was to a make a card that reflects your New Year resolution. What a perfect challenge for New Years! So, I started thinking about all of the things I want to do in the new year...exercise more, work on getting a card published/getting on a design team, study God's word and focus on Him more on a daily basis, and overall just show my wonderful family and friends how much I appreciate them. The list, of course, could go on and on...I am always looking to do better and improve myself each year. So, as I was thinking about how in the world I was going to incorporate one of my New Year resolutions into a card and was browsing through my new Cosmo Cricket Honey Pie paper pad to get a little inspiration, I found this sentiment:
Practice Random Acts of Kindness...what a wonderful New Year resolution! There are countless ways to accomplish this and one way that I know I am going to do more of in the New Year is to send more of my cards out to people and also give my extra cards to others who could use them to spread some kindness. Oh, also I have been cleaning out my craft space to make room for my new Cuttlebug and I have some crafting goodies to share with one of you! I plan on posting my first blog candy/RAK sometime this month...stay tuned!
