You're a true Friend - Moxie Fab World Challenge

Blue has always been my favorite color.  There are so many beautiful shades, it reminds me of the ocean, and is just a peaceful/calming color for me.  So, when I saw that the Moxie Fab World was having a Cure for the Winter Blues challenge, I just had to play along!

I just love this Stella & Rose collection by My Mind's Eye.  All the shades of blue with a touch of mustard yellow...gorgeous!   The stamp set is from Papertrey Ink and I love how the Not Quite Navy ink (from Stampin' Up) looks on the kraft cardstock (also PTI).  The flowers are popped up on foam squares for dimension.  I threaded navy blue ribbon through some Hero Arts crocheted lace to add a touch of texture and a little more navy to the card.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful weekend!

First Christmas - Elle's Studio Layout Challenge

Happy Sunday!   Will you be enjoying the day off tomorrow?  I have to go into the doctor in the morning for my gestational diabetes test which I am hoping will come back okay.  Then I get to enjoy the day with my boys!

I found some time this weekend to create a few layouts.  This one was inspired by Elle's Studio Thursday Sketch, which you can see HERE.

Yes, I am making great progress with my son's 'first year' album!  This will actually be part of an 8x8 double page layout but the other page is simply going to be filled with pictures from Christmas (maybe I'll add a coordinating embellishment or two to tie it in a little more).

This page uses BoBunny clover double dot paper, May Arts ribbon, a Simple Stories journal card, along with some Crate Paper, Creative Cafe, and Papertrey Ink embellishments, American Crafts Thickers, and a little Maraschino twine from The Twinery.

Thanks to Elle's Studio for the inspiration!  If you want to play along in the challenge you still have a few days and can win a $10 g.c. to use toward purchasing their great tags and crafting goodies! :)

You are so...Loved!

So, I was feeling the love yesterday and popped into my craft room for a few minutes to create this card.

The papers are My Mind's Eye (Lime Twist and Quite Contrary collections) and BoBunny (Double Dot).  I added a few rhinestones and Basic Grey letter stickers to finish off the card.  Some of the hearts, flowers, and the journal card are all popped up on foam squares for dimension.

Hope you had a lovely Valentine's Day!  And if you didn't see my exciting announcement yesterday...be sure to check out this post.

You are sweet - MME card challenge

I'm back with another My Mind's Eye challenge...this time I created a card.  You can check out the challenge HERE.  With Valentine's day around the corner I was inspired to create this card.

I absolutely love the adorable playing cards from My Mind's Eye's alphabet soup collection...I mean, really, how cute is that cupcake?!  The patterned paper is from the Stella and Rose collection, ribbon and rhinestones are from the LUSH collection, and the pink circles/lollipop flowers I made using pom pom trim from the Lost & Found collection.  The letters are American Crafts' Thickers.

Have a great day!

Every Day with YOU - My Mind's Eye Layout Challenge

Happy Friday!  Do you have any great plans for the weekend?  We are planning on a quiet weekend (yeah!...last weekend was really busy for us).  Just a trip to the bookstore, playing together at home, and hopefully some good crafting time for me! :)

As many of you have probably noticed, I am a big My Mind's Eye fan...I think my last several posts/projects have all been created with MME.  I subscribe to their newsletter and blog and each month they have a layout and card challenge.  This month the theme is YOU.  (Click HERE to see the challenge/sketch) I had to adjust the layout sketch a bit to fit my smaller 8x8 page but I still tried to keep most of the elements.

Clean and simple...that has been my approach a lot lately.  I am getting many more layouts completed that way too!  :)  This layout was created mostly with the Lime Twist collection...I just love the bright colors in this line.

Have you seen MME's newest releases?!  I am super in love with the Miss Caroline collection...although Follow Your Heart is a very close second!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Those Eyes... - Elle's Studio Sketch Challenge

Hello all!   I'm back with another layout to share...again I was inspired by the sketch over at Elle's Studio this past week (HERE).  Thanks to the Elle's Studio DT for creating such great layouts/sketches!  :)

Most of this layout was created with My Mind's Eye Stella and Rose collection along with some American Crafts thickers and Basic Grey letter stickers.

I have been busy crafting but don't have much else to share for now as I am hoping to get a project or two picked up for publication.

Have a wonderful week!  If you want to play along in the Elle's Studio challenge you still have a few days to get crafting!
