Happy Sunday!

Well, they originally had predicted a nice sunny day for us here in WA but instead it has been a little dreary. I don't usually mind the rain but we had a birthday party at a park to attend today and I was hoping it was going to be a little nicer. Oh well, the boys still had a good time! :) I thought I'd take a minute to share two new treasuries I created on Etsy this past week.

Vintage Pearl

Lavender Sky
If any of these items look like something you might like to own or take a closer look at you can check out the shops by clicking HERE and HERE.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Happiness Together - Etsy Inspired Challenge #90

What a week it has been! My little one has definitely hit his 'trying twos' and our computer/internet have been experiencing some technical difficulties... so I am thankful that I am able to post my project today!

Our featured Etsy shop this week is Sunshyne Silverwear, which specializes in recycled spoon pendants. I was inspired by all the beautiful colors in the shop, especially the combination on this pendant.

It reminded me of the colors in the BoBunny Persuasion collection.

Yep, that's me and my hubby...although shhhh...don't let him know I posted this because he really doesn't like this picture of himself...he was a little heavier in this photo than normal. But I really love this layout and the picture captures how happy we are together. :)

There are 3 prizes to be won this week so be sure to check out the Etsy Inspired Blog for all the details and play along with us! We have a great new sponsor this week too, Claudine Hellmuth, who creates fabulous collage art.

Be sure to visit the rest of the Design Team and leave Miss Tiffany and our guest designer Kelley some extra kudos for making Paper Crafts Gallery Idol Top 20!!! Did you know that several of our previous guest designers made the cut too?! I can't wait to see what new, fabulous cards they create this week!
I hope you have lots of fun things planned for this holiday weekend! We are celebrating a few birthdays and trying to get our house ready to be put on the market.

Thanks!

Happy Sunday everyone! All is quiet in my house as I am up early, unfortunately it's because I was having lots of bad dreams, but it is nice to be up before the boys and be able to have a few minutes of uninterrupted me time.

This month is my one year anniversary for my Etsy shop! It has been fun this past year and I am looking forward to offering some new products in the upcoming year.

As a big thank you to all my supporters and blog readers I am offering 10% off your entire purchase from now until May 31st. Simply put "EtsyAnniversary" in the notes to seller and I will refund your 10% through Paypal after your payment has gone through. Or if you prefer, you can wait for a revised invoice before you pay.

Here is some new, yummy ribbon that I just got in stock...

These ribbons go great with some of my creativity kits too! :)

As for my thanks card above, I used some of Cosmo Cricket's Girl Friday collection and popped the letters up on foam squares for added dimension. I also sewed the twill ribbon to give it that ruffled look! I'm getting better with my sewing machine! :) And don't you just love that little flower I created?! :) I entered this card into Paper Crafts Gallery Idol 2010 challenge...you should pop on over to the gallery to see the tons of great cards that people have submitted!

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Thanks so Much - Etsy Inspired Challenge #89

It's time for another Etsy Inspired Challenge! Our featured shop this week, Made by Michelle Brusegaard, is filled with beautiful cards/stationary, photographs, scarves, and more. The first thing I fell in love with in her shop was her gorgeous poppy design and it inspired me to create this card.

Isn't that poppy design beautiful?!

The sponsor for the challenge this week is The Cutting Cafe.

There are two great prizes to be won this week so be sure to check out the Etsy Inspired blog for all the details about how to play along!

And be sure to visit the rest of the design team to see what fabulous projects they came up with this week!

Look what I got!!!

Brand new, yummy papers from Echo Park Paper Company's first collection Sweet Summertime and I am in love!!! It is so colorful and fun with adorable patterns, stickers and journaling tags too! My scrapbook store got an order of this paper in the day before they closed their doors and so I snagged two full sets of the stuff plus a few extra papers too. I had to make sure I had at least two of each paper in case I want to make some fun double page summer scrapbook layouts, right?! :) Plus I thought I would list a little bit of it in my Etsy shop too...that's right...I have two smaller 6x6 sets that I am selling in my shop along with some great new May Arts and American Crafts ribbon.

This line is not one that you will keep sitting in your drawer for years to come...you are going to want to tear into it and get crafting! And that is exactly what I did!

I truly love every piece of paper and sticker in this collection (no I am not receiving any compensation for these comments!) :) I have been meaning to submit some thank you cards for the Paper Crafts Gallery Idol competition and this paper totally got my mojo flowing. I made the flowers 3 dimensional by popping up the front row of flowers on some foam squares and don't you just love the green polka dot scallop border! I thought it worked great as grass! The only part of this card that is not from the Echo Park Sweet Summertime collection is the rhinestones that I added...I think they add that extra something to the card.

I'd love to hear your thoughts! Have you seen this collection yet...do you love it too?

HERE is the set I am offering in my Etsy shop.

And along with the Summertime theme, I also created a new treasury on Etsy titled Summer at the Market...check it out up close along with links to the great shops I discovered HERE.

Have a wonderful day!

An apple for the Teacher

This weekend I finally messed up my clean craft space to get a few projects done. :) I began with BoBunny's current card challenge...to create a teacher inspired card. I was inspired to make an apple card so I got out my BoBunny double dot cardstock and went to work. Here is the end result:

I love how this turned out! I hand drew the apple shape...it's about 5.5 x 5.5". Then I created a little leaf using BoBunny's Clover Double Dot ribbon. I think I may try to create a flower using this same ribbon technique...such a great way to use up ribbon scraps. Then I just cut a little stem, added a button and some letter stickers (from BoBunny's Sophie collection), and finished it all off with a little May Arts twine.

I think I will be making a few more of these and maybe some coordinating gift bags too. I can hardly believe that the school year is almost over. My oldest has had a great year and my little one will be starting preschool in the fall, although he says he wants to be a first grader just like brother! :)

I hope you're having a wonderful weekend! We are having beautiful weather and enjoying playing outside. If you're doing some crafting today and you love BoBunny, there is still time to play along in the challenge...check it out HERE.

Another Scrapbook Layout to Share! - Etsy Inspired Challenge #88

This year I have completed so many more scrapbooking projects since I have been on the Design Team for my local scrapbook store, Lasting Memories. But now with them getting ready to close I am going to have to motivate myself a bit more to get my scrapbooking done. Maybe you will start seeing more layouts from me for the Etsy Inspired Challenges! :)

This week's featured Etsy shop is Creation Designs, which is filled with some great vintage finds and unique handmade items like silverware windchimes.

These colorful vintage mugs reminded me of a rainbow and this great Cosmo Cricket paper from the Boyfriend collection.

Our sponsor this week is Limelight Papercrafts!!! They carry lots of great products like Cosmo Cricket, Basic Grey, Unity, and new Lawn Fawn stamps too!

Please visit the Etsy Inspired Blog for all the details on how to play along in the challenge for your chance to win a great prize from Limelight Papercrafts!

Relaxed, Refreshed, Renewed!

So, yesterday I had a whole day to craft and hang out with friends...kid-free! It was a much needed and much overdue break for me and I am feeling so great today! I completed several scrapbook pages yesterday, enjoyed chatting with friends, and had a lovely dinner out too. I am feeling rested and full of energy, patience, and joy today...yeah! It is just what I needed and it made me realize that I really do need to be better about taking time for myself because it's good for me which in turn is good for my kiddos too! :)

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend too! I thought I would share the birthday card that I made for my friend who had the party yesterday.

I really love the fun colors in this Creative Imaginations Studio 101 birthday line and the cute cupcake 3d stickers too! Did you notice my ruffled ribbon? I actually created that myself using some seam binding and my sewing machine! :)

I also thought I would share my new treasury which was inspired by Cath's new Moxie Fab challenge using the ever so trendy...chair. Yep, who knew furniture images would be so trendy?! I don't know that I will create any chair projects myself but I sure had fun finding some great chair items on Etsy...take a peek!

Click HERE to see the treasury up close along with links to some great shops! I would love to have those light blue chairs in my dream house! :)

Enjoy the rest of your day! I'm off to play with my boys...I missed not getting to hang out with them yesterday! :) I mean, really, how could you not want to spend every waking moment with these two adorable kids!

Cake Time! - Etsy Inspired Challenge #86

Hello! Today I am heading to a friend's house for an all day crafting event and I am sooooo excited! I don't think I have had a girls' day out for at least a year now (I know I really should be better about taking time for myself...I'm working on it. :) I love being a mom but I do really need a day off and today is the day! I am planning on getting some scrapbooking done, enjoying some good food, and fun time with friends!

Since it's Saturday I have an Etsy Inspired project to share with you all. And in honor of National Scrapbook day, I actually have a layout to share! :) Our featured Etsy shop this week, Isabell's Umbrella, is such a cute paper goods shop. I was inspired by all the fun, adorable images and this birthday card.

I scrapbooked my oldest son's first birthday party using My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary line.

I absolutely love MME's Quite Contrary collection...all the papers are so fun! The little pooh cut out is actually from one of the party decorations that I kept (for 6 years!)...glad I did! :) Here's a close up of my little guy eating his first cake!

This week both Isabell's Umbrella and our sponsor, Lawn Fawn, are offering up some fabulous prizes for the winners!

To play along all you have to do is visit Isabell's Umbrella and find an item that inspires you. Create a project of your own...remember that you can make just about anything crafty (a card, scrapbook layout, altered item, jewelry, a painting). Link your project up to the Etsy Inspired blog by Friday at noon PST for your chance to win one of this week's prizes!

Visit the rest of the Design Team to see what inspiring projects they have come up with this week!
So, what are your plans today? Doing anything fun for National Scrapbook Day? There is a lot going on in blog land and probably at your local scrapbook store too! Have fun! Hopefully I will have lots of scrapbook pages to show for all my kid-free crafting time today! :)
