A New Challenge

This morning I was checking out a new blog called The Daily Dare which posts several different challenges going on each day. Now, as many of you know I love a good challenge...they always inspire me to get crafting! So, one of the new challenge blogs I discovered is called Sketch and Stash. The idea is to use the sketch for the week and some of your newest stash (i.e. crafting goodies) on your card. For me, the word stash makes me think more of all of the paper, stamps, etc. that have been sitting around unused for awhile. So, for my card I used a few brand new items and some things that were really needing some love.

SU's purely pomegranate is such a pretty color but I just haven't used it much...I tend to lean toward more earthy tones. I am glad I chose it for this card because I like the richness and elegance of the color especially when paired with white. For my brand new stash items, I opened up my VersaMagic cloud white ink pad for the first time and inked up my sentiment stamp from Unity's Simply Said set. I just received this set in the mail this past week and today was my first time using it...I love it already! :) I also added a few dots with my new white gel pen. And, I thought the inside needed a little something so I stamped part of my flower image in the bottom corner. Thanks for visiting today!

Lovely card and I really like the colors. Unfortunately here in the UK we only have the main SU colors - they don't do the seasonal ones yet. I always like what I can't have! LOL
